Bloom Fest

The charm of Small Town America is alive and well in Lampasas Texas.

Lampasas Texas is located 60 miles from Austin, and 30 miles from Fort Hood. Three Major highways intersect this small historical town. US Hwy 190, Hwy 183, and Hwy 281.

LampasasCounty was established in 1856 and covers over 714 square miles deep in the heart of Texas. It was named after the Lampasas river (Spanish for Lilies). The seventy-five mile river begins in the City of Hamilton and travels southeast to Stillhouse Hollow Lake Reservoir.

The Colorado River borders the west boundaries of Lampasas county and the Colorado Bend State park is a popular location for camping, hiking, fishing and hunting.

In the 1850's people were drawn to Lampasas to bathe in the mineral springs. Today tourists are attracted to the area for the lakes, parks, Texas wineries, festivals, and wild game hunting.

The City of Lampasas is centrally located with three major highways. U.S. Highway 183, U.S. Highway 190, and U.S. Hwy 281.
