Lady Bird Park, formally known as Town Lake, one of the parks many features is a trail that follows the Colorado River for 10 miles and offers views of the Austin Skyline. Many Austin residents enjoy hiking, biking, running and walking. You can enjoy an off leash area for dogs, at the Auditorium Shores with water access for your pets.

Auditorium Shores is an open space for flying kites, letting your dog run, outdoor concerts, events and festivals.

Lady Bird Lake Sports

If you enjoy water sports you can Kayak, Row, Paddle Boat, orStand Up Paddle Board (SUP). Lady Bird Lake is located on Riverside Dr., Austin Texas.

As you walk the trails or roam the city streets, the atmosphere is filled with live music, laughter, and life. Growing up I have had the opportunity to live in several cities in the US, and have found that all too often, people are trapped by the everyday rush to work, go home, flop on the couch; Day-in-Day-Out droll drum mentality of all work and no play.

Austin is a community that is relatively easy to get around, where you can go to work and enjoy a fantastic social community. A city where you can take pleasure in the simple things, such as, the running the trail, walking your dog, hanging out at a Live Music Festival, window shopping downtown, or enjoying cuisine from every culture.

You get a sense of belonging and purpose, a desire to strive to be the best you can be, and the positive vibe translates into accomplishment and happiness. So, when you are out in the beautiful parks of Austin--take a look around, look at the people, listen to the laughter, soak up the sun and go home rested and inspired.
