Mills Pond is a small lake in the middle of Wells Branch Subdivision in Austin Texas. The pond has a fishing pier and floating boat dock for non motorized boats. Take out your canoe, kayak or row boat and enjoy the day.
There are tree shaded walking, running and biking trails throughout this park and the trails are within walking distance of the neighborhood.
The park is dog friendly however must be on a leash.
You must have a fishing license with Texas Parks and Wildlife to fish in the pond.
You can access the pond and park area on the north end of Wells Port Dr or the Lakes at Wells Branch Subdivision off of Bratton Lane. See map below.
Wildlife includes, ducks, geese, cranes and squirrels. Please do not feed the Waterfowl on Mills Pond.
Trails along Mills Pond Wells Branch Austin TX
The trails are connected along a greenbelt and the granite hike and bike trail are approximately 6 miles long. The Wells Branch Subdivision and neighborhood have easy access to the Willow Bend Pool, Katherine Fleischer Park, Recreation Center, Disc Golf, and Soccer fields.
The Wells Branch MUD Board, District Staff, and Texascapes have worked with residents adding new picnic tables, benches, aquatic plants, and trees. There is a solar powered irrigation system, and Meditation Garden for quiet areas, to sit enjoy and take the stress out of life.
Some of the plants found along the trail include frog fruit, spike rush, red yucca, lantana and coralberry along with other native trees, live-oak and pecan trees.

As a real estate agent, I have seen many Master Planned communities in the Austin Texas area, and I have to say this one of my favorites. What a beautiful place for the lucky homeowners of Wells Branch to enjoy. This private oasis is a wonderful place to raise a family.
